Welcome to the Clonberne National School Website
Welcome to our website. Clonberne National School was opened in 1976 as a result of an amalgamation of Lerhin School, Leitra School and Mahanagh School. We are located in North East Galway in Ireland. At our school we currently have over 130 children, eight teaching staff, a special need assistant, a part time secretary and two part time caretakers. The school serves a wide area around Clonberne Village and is served by four school bus routes. Our school sits on a large site with tarmac playing facilities, two football pitches, a basketball court, outdoor seating area and school garden. At our school we value each child and support their physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual development. Our school is a Catholic School and is underpinned by a Catholic Ethos.

We are all settled back to school and enjoying school life. We welcome our new junior infant class of twelve girls and five boys . We look forward to working with all the children during the school year in a happy and safe learning environment.
We congratulate two of our pupils Cerys Daly (junior infants ) and Ethan Murphy (first class) who were highly commended in the recent Mountbellew show colouring competition.
